Before moving to Arran in 1989 Andy Surridge worked on building restoration projects, barn conversions and in antique furniture restoration.  

In order to continue his love of traditional methods of furniture manufacture and woodworking techniques he created Baroque Woodwork in 1997 offering bespoke solutions to discerning clients who wanted something more than the mass market could offer but at an affordable price.

Despite moving with the times and incorporating anything modern technology might offer in his designs, the ethos of good solid no nonsense craftmanship underpins every piece of furniture and woodwork Andy undertakes.
